What is Meshtastic?
This project implements a decentralized, off-grid mesh network using inexpensive LoRa radios and open-source software. Unlike traditional communication systems that rely on cell towers, Wi-Fi, or centralized infrastructure, it enables nodes to communicate directly with each other in a peer-to-peer mesh topology.
At its core, a mesh network is a set of individual radio nodes that relay messages for one another - extending range, improving resilience, and removing dependence on any single point of infrastructure or service.
